On July 19, 2017 we traveled to the Library of Congress in Washington, DC to perform research on various historical theories and documents. We also got our Library of Congress research (library) cards.
In July of 2017, we made a stop while in Harper's Ferry and made a short hike up the “Application Trail” to view the Jefferson Rock.
On July 22, 2017 we traveled to Silver Spring, Maryland and one of our stops was the National Museum of Health and Medicine. What an amazing museum with some very interesting artifacts, and the best part, it was free.
On July 22, 2017 we traveled to Silver Spring, Maryland and one of our stops was the National Museum of Health and Medicine. There were several reasons for this stop; however, one of the main reasons was to see the actual bullet that killed President Abraham Lincoln.
In July of 2017, We traveled to the Antietam Battlefield and came across this hidden gem off the beaten bath so to speak. The Pry House, which during the battle was General McClellan's Headquarters, but is now a Civil War Medical Museum.
In July of 2017, we stopped at various places around Charlottesville, Virginia. One of these stops was to see the room that Edgar Allan Poe used during his short stay at the University of Virginia.
