Since we established our YouTube channel, we have always had our main website database associated with our channel. Now that we have created a separate blog site, we wanted to know if we could have multiple domains approved for our channel. Here is what we found out.
Yes, you can. All that you have to do is have the domains registered and verified in Google Search Console (Google Webmaster Tools) using the same account that you use for your first verified domain. Now, before we go any further with this, you want to make sure that you are following YouTube Community Guidelines as to what type of websites and pages you are linking to with your videos. Please review those guidelines before proceeding any further.
Why is this important or do we care?
Well, what if you would like to put a link to a blog post or a product page as a card within your videos? Well, YouTube will allow this providing the site is an "approved" website. In our case, we are adding products to the bottom of our blog posts, so there is a double flow from the blog to YouTube, and from YouTube back to our blog. At least that is what we want to try to achieve.
You want to be able to see your website (or domain) in the approved list.
