Frank Lloyd Wright - Fallingwater

During our Pre-Cana weekend in April of 2006, we stopped at Fallingwater on our way back home to have one of our first adventures together. We had a great time visiting this historical building, but did not find out the true history and its past until much later in our paranormal research.

We had a full day ahead of us when we headed back from spending the weekend at Antiochian Village where our Pre-Cana classes where held. For those that don't know, if you follow the Catholic Religion and practices, you are required to take Pre-Cana classes before you can be married, and our classes where crammed into two days at a retreat with other couples. I checked the map on the way back, and noticed it was closed to Fallingwater. I thought this would be an interesting place for us to stop and spend the day touring this historical home. Fallingwater is located at 1491 Mill Run Rd, Mill Run, PA 15464.

When we arrived, we had a little walk back to the house and took our time getting back there. This is one of the first places that we visited together where we ran into the restriction that they do not allow photography inside of the building. If you would like to find out more about tours at the building and operation times, please check the Fallingwater website.

Fallingwater is a house designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935 in rural southwestern Pennsylvania, 43 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. The house was built partially over a waterfall on Bear Run in the Mill Run section of Stewart Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, located in the Laurel Highlands of the Allegheny Mountains. The house was designed as a weekend home for the family of Liliane Kaufmann and her husband, Edgar J. Kaufmann Sr., owner of Kaufmann's Department Store. If you would like to find out more of the history of this building, please check out our following video.

It wasn't until we started research the paranormal did we learn about the paranormal activity that surrounds this building. Now that we are aware of this, future visits will have some added interest. If you would like to find out more about the paranormal, please review our following "Ghost Stories and Folklore" video.

If you have been to Fallingwater yourself, please let us know your experiences down in the comments section below. We plan on going back someday to find the Kaufmann's crypts and try to get some video footage around the grounds.
