In April of 2019, On her way up to the Parafest at Hotel Conneaut, Marianne spotted the Darrow Octagon House and decided to stop and take a look. She took some photos and recorded a video while at the location.
The Clarence Darrow Octagon House is a historic octagon house in the community of Kinsman, Ohio, United States. Home to lawyer Clarence Darrow in his childhood, it has been named a historic site. Born in the nearby community of Farmdale, Clarence Darrow was the son of a cabinetmaker. The house is located at 8405 Main St, Kinsman, OH 44428.
This is a historical marker out in front of the house. We have learned over time to look for these and this is what Marianne spotted first to make her slow down and see what was historically important about the property. When she saw that it was related to Clarence Darrow, she had to stop and read a little bit more of the marker.
