Visiting the Youngstown B&O

Updated: Sep 8, 2022

In August of 2018, we went down to the Youngstown B&O to get some footage for some videos about the location. We have been to this location several time for events and weddings in the past; however, this trip was to collect to video and photographs of the building.

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Terminal is the most architecturally significant remaining railroad passenger station in the central city of Youngstown.

Built in an eclectic Georgian Revival style in 1905, the two-and-a-half story station is distinguished as an intact reminder of the tremendous role which the railroads played in Youngstown development as a manufacturing and population center in the late-19th and early 20th centuries. Now converted to a mini-brewery and used as a banquet facility, you can visit the former station at 530 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502.

If you would like to find out more history of this building and location, please check out the following video.

Well, of course we have found some paranormal claims bout the location, so check out the following video by Boris, as he discusses them.

The architecture of this building is just unique and fascinating. The subtle details in the changing of patterns in the bricks and the arched windows make it a very inviting venue for any type of event. As you stand in front of the building, you can almost envision the millions of travelers who have passed through this station in the past.

We will probably be visiting this place again in the future, since it is so close to where we live and there are always events scheduled at this location. Please let us know down in the comments if you have visited this location or would like to go there in the future.
