Visiting and Investigating Sachs Covered Bridge

Located on Waterworks Road in Gettysburg is one of the most haunted bridges in Gettysburg we have ever visited. We have been out to the bridge many times, but this blog post will talk about the most recent visit we made in July of 2018.

Like I mentioned, we have been to the bridge several times. We even took a ghost tour out to the bridge once. There are so many paranormal claims near and around this bridge that the draw for paranormal investigators and thrill seekers out to the there that is very hard to get to the location and nobody else is around. If you try to go at night, the area is packed most of the time. We like to go out during the day time as well. If you would like to visit the bridge, it is off of Waterworks Road, just past the Eisenhower Estate.

The Sachs Covered Bridge, also known as Sach's Covered Bridge and Waterworks Covered Bridge, is a 100-foot, Town truss covered bridge over Marsh Creek between Cumberland and Freedom Townships, Adams County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The historical significance of this bridge was that it is the path that Lee's Army used to surrender from the Battle of Gettysburg.

More of the history about the bridge can be found in our paranormal history profile video about the bridge below.

If you would like to hear about some of the reported paranormal activity surrounding the bridge, you can check out our "Ghost Stories and Folklore" video that we produced below.

In 2015, when we visited Gettysburg with the Dark Shadow Ghost Tours Crew, one of the things we wanted to do was to go out to the bridge and try to recreate a video we saw on YouTube about Tennessee who is a spirit that is believed to smoke cigarettes at the bridge. We decided when we went back in 2018, we would attempt to recreate this again. You be the judge, check out our video below.

Let us know if you have been to the Sachs Bridge in Gettysburg, and share with us your experiences down in the comments below.
