At the end of our summer trip in July of 2025, we found ourselves once again in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Even though we have visited the town many times over the years, each return trip seems to uncover something new, something hidden, or something we simply overlooked before. Gettysburg has a way of drawing you back with its mix of history, emotion, and lingering stories that still cling to the landscape.

On September 20, 2025, we headed out on an adventure to visit a few different locations. During our travels, the subject of Zoar Village having a Civil War reenactment weekend came up, so our group decided to go and check it out.

On Memorial Day in 2025, we traveled down the street to Calvary Cemetery to identify some locations that we were researching for a chapter in one of our new books. It was a wonderful day to spend in the local cemetery performing some research.

On September 20, 2025, we traveled down to Leetonia, Ohio, with the intention of spending the day helping JoAnn and Mark work on a project for their new garage. That was the plan, at least, until we all looked at each other that morning and decided an adventure sounded much better than a day of labor. With the sun shining and the temperature comfortable, it felt like the perfect opportunity to explore somewhere new.

In July of 2025 we traveled to Jamestown Settlement in Williamsburg, Virginia. On our way back to our hotel, we found an intriguing location to stop and check out. The story of Archer's Hope is one of those locations that, if not for the historical marker, may be lost to the ages.

In July of 2006, we decided to have a wonderful adventure for our honeymoon. We embarked on an eighteen-day road trip from our home in Ohio to the East Coast, and then continued our journey all the way down to Florida. During this trip, we decided to take our time and see some wonderful locations. One of the wonderful locations we visited was the National Wright Brothers Monument in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

In June of 2025, we found ourselves once again in Fredericksburg, Virginia. During this visit, we decided to do a bit more research to identify some of the historical and haunted locations so that we made a point to stop at them all. One of these locations was the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop.

On June 27, 2025, we found ourselves in Richmond, Virginia. After looking around at places to visit within the city, we found that there was an Edgar Allan Poe Museum. We added this location to our stop list, and we are now so glad that we did.

In September of 2019, we traveled down to Marietta, Ohio, and spent some time visiting several historical and haunted locations. One of the houses on our list that had reported paranormal claims was a former home, now a museum, called the castle.

On June 21, 2025, we found ourselves in Baltimore, Maryland, and decided that we had to go and visit the gravesite of Edgar Allan Poe. Our research revealed that Edgar Allan Poe rests at the Westminster Hall and Burial Grounds, a mere six blocks away from our hotel. In June of 2025, we traveled to Fredericksburg, Virginia, and one of our stops was at the historical Chatham Manor. We heard about the paranormal activity at this location and definitely had to add it to the list of places to stop by on our trip. Little did we know, we were going to be able to do some investigating on the grounds.

In August of 2014, we took our team and a group of guests south to Newark, Ohio, to visit and investigate the Old Licking County Jail. Along the way, we made a couple of stops and enjoyed lunch, but we spent the entire night investigating the jail, then drove back to Youngstown, Ohio.
