Visiting Quincy Hill Park
In July of 2019, we traveled to Parkersburg, West Virginia, and made a point to stop at Quincy Hill Park, a location that had been on our list for some time. Before the trip, we had read about the park’s layered history and the many stories tied to the hilltop, including its role during the Civil War and the tragedies said to have taken place there. With so much history concentrated in one area, we knew this was a place we wanted to experience firsthand.

Exploring the Haunted Halls of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum
During our Haunted Ohio River trip in July 2019, we made a chilling detour on our journey home—one that had been on our list for years. Instead of heading straight back, we stopped at the infamous Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum to spend the day exploring its vast halls on a guided tour, eager to experience firsthand the history, atmosphere, and unsettling stories that surround this legendary institution.
