Memorial Day, originally known as Decoration Day, has its roots deeply embedded in the aftermath of the American Civil War, a conflict that claimed the lives of an estimated 620,000 to 750,000 soldiers. The holiday emerged as a poignant response to the immense loss of life and the need for a collective process of mourning and remembrance.

For years we have been looking for any reports of paranormal activity for the Gettysburg Train Station so that we could add the location to our database. This story will explain how we came across that information.

In 2016, we traveled to Key West, Florida, and one of our stops was at the Key West Lighthouse, where we learned the haunted tales of the Key West's Forgotten Lady of the Lighthouse.

In September of 2025, we traveled to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and to the site of the May 4 Memorial museum. We also strolled around the tragedy's grounds, now recognized as a National Register of Historical Places.

The paranormal reports from Ford’s Theater in Washington, D.C., typically exhibit characteristics similar to those of a residual-type haunting.

We were aware of the paranormal activity at the campus for some time now, and in December of 2024, Shawn decided to stop by the campus in February of 2025 to start looking into these claims and find out what could be the origin of the paranormal claims.
