During our Haunted Ohio River trip in July 2019, we made a chilling detour on our journey home—one that had been on our list for years. Instead of heading straight back, we stopped at the infamous Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum to spend the day exploring its vast halls on a guided tour, eager to experience firsthand the history, atmosphere, and unsettling stories that surround this legendary institution.

At the end of November in 2025, we traveled to Sharon, Pennsylvania, to tour the Buhl Mansion, drawn in by the promise of history and the chance to see the grand home beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The timing was perfect because winter was just starting to set in and the decorations made an already beautiful historic setting feel even cozier.

Since 2009, visiting Gettysburg has become an annual tradition for us, even if we can only manage a few days at a time. Each trip feels like a return to familiar ground, a place that never quite gives up all of its stories.

In July of 2024, we traveled to Dayton, Ohio. One of our visits was to the Carillon Historical Park with the goal of going to the National Wright Brothers Museum. We also encountered some other hidden treasures during our visit.

In October of 2025, we heard about the tragic story of Antonio and Giuseppe Mittiga, who drowned in the Cuyahoga River on March 24, 1924, as they were trying to return home before dark and decided to take a shortcut going down the river.

In the summer of 2025, we traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, to visit several different historical and haunted locations. One of the stops on our list was the historical Old St. Paul Cemetery. Unfortunately, when we made our way down to the cemetery, it was closed to the public.

On Memorial Day of 2025, we traveled out to Oak Hill Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio, to find some notable internments and to pay our respects for Memorial Day. We have recently conducted some research for our book and also needed to collect some photographs and video footage.

In October 2025, we traveled to Kent, Ohio, and spent some time in the area visiting five different locations that have reported paranormal claims. Instead of making separate videos and posts for each location, we decided to combine them all into one production.

In June of 2025, we traveled to Frederick, Maryland, and one of the stops that we had to make was the old Frederick Court House. We visited the old Frederick Court House not only because of its rich history, but also because it has been the subject of several haunted claims.

During our honeymoon in July of 2006, we set out on a long road trip down the east coast, stopping at historic sites, coastal landmarks, and beautiful viewpoints along the way. One of the places we visited was the Bodie Island Lighthouse on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. At the time, we saw it simply as a peaceful stop during our travels, not realizing how much mystery and folklore surrounded the location.

It was a bright summer day in October, one of those rare afternoons when the seasons seem to overlap in perfect balance. The warmth of summer lingered in the air, yet the leaves around Kent, Ohio, were just beginning to shift toward their fall colors. With the weather inviting us outside, we decided it was the perfect day to go exploring. In June of 2025, we traveled to Richmond, Virginia. After performing some research on locations we wanted to add to our visit, we decided we needed to stop at the State Capitol building. Although this building has a rich history, it also has a colorful paranormal past.

As mentioned in many other blog posts, we have visited Gettysburg on several occasions. It is difficult to pick one particular visit to discuss; however, this blog post and video are dedicated to the history of the Gettysburg Battlefield.
