In November of 2025, we traveled to Warren, Ohio, and once again made our way to the Pioneer Cemetery, a place we have come to know well over the years. Each visit feels somewhat different depending on the season, the weather, and the mood of the grounds, but this stop was special for one key reason. The first time we stood beneath the towering light at Fairport Harbor Lighthouse was in 2004; it felt like nothing more than a quiet stop along Lake Erie’s shoreline—a historic beacon watching patiently over the water. Years later, in 2015, we returned with a very different purpose.

In July of 2024, we traveled to Dayton, Ohio. One of our visits was to the Carillon Historical Park with the goal of going to the National Wright Brothers Museum. We also encountered some other hidden treasures during our visit.

In October of 2025, we heard about the tragic story of Antonio and Giuseppe Mittiga, who drowned in the Cuyahoga River on March 24, 1924, as they were trying to return home before dark and decided to take a shortcut going down the river.

On Memorial Day of 2025, we traveled out to Oak Hill Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio, to find some notable internments and to pay our respects for Memorial Day. We have recently conducted some research for our book and also needed to collect some photographs and video footage.

On September 20, 2025, we headed out on an adventure to visit a few different locations. During our travels, the subject of Zoar Village having a Civil War reenactment weekend came up, so our group decided to go and check it out.

On Memorial Day in 2025, we traveled down the street to Calvary Cemetery to identify some locations that we were researching for a chapter in one of our new books. It was a wonderful day to spend in the local cemetery performing some research.

On September 20, 2025, we traveled down to Leetonia, Ohio, with the intention of spending the day helping JoAnn and Mark work on a project for their new garage. That was the plan, at least, until we all looked at each other that morning and decided an adventure sounded much better than a day of labor. With the sun shining and the temperature comfortable, it felt like the perfect opportunity to explore somewhere new.

In August of 2014, we took our team and a group of guests south to Newark, Ohio, to visit and investigate the Old Licking County Jail. Along the way, we made a couple of stops and enjoyed lunch, but we spent the entire night investigating the jail, then drove back to Youngstown, Ohio. In 2014 and 2015, we took part in multiple investigations at a project house in Rogers, Ohio. At first, the house was named the Rogers house; later, after some research, it was renamed the Lewis Townsend Farr house. Unfortunately, the house no longer exists.

On February 18, 2018, we traveled to Warren, Ohio, and investigated the Kinsman House on Mahoning Ave. We brought a couple of friends with us on the investigation, and the experience was not disappointing. We loved the experience.

In July of 2024, we traveled to Dayton, Ohio, and one of the stops on this trip was to pay our respects to the Wright Brothers at the historical Woodland Cemetery. Not only were we able to visit their graves, but we found some other fascinating history as well.

In September of 2025, we traveled to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and to the site of the May 4 Memorial museum. We also strolled around the tragedy's grounds, now recognized as a National Register of Historical Places.
